There are many types of dementia, and it can affect people of all ages. Alzheimers is the most common form of dementia. Around 850,000 people are living with dementia in the UK, with this estimated to rise to 1 million people by 2025. In addition, around 42,000 people have young onset dementia, which affects people under 65 years old.
